FoldDesk’s real interface: a synthetic coding desktop above a touch trackpad with matching left and right click keys
Your Mac. Within reach.Actual app · Synthetic desktop content

Keep the work.
Change the posture.

Check a terminal. Move a window. Make a quick edit. You don’t need to rebuild your workflow around a phone—bring your Mac’s desktop with you.

⌘⌥⌃ Cesc
A familiar way to work

The small things.
Right where you need them.

01 / CONTROL

A proper place for your fingers.

Move, tap, and scroll on a dedicated trackpad. Hold the left click key while you move to drag a window. The matching right click key opens context menus. Pick a scroll speed that feels right.

02 / SHORTCUTS

Command is still Command.

Keep modifier keys and everyday shortcuts close. Copy, paste, Escape, Tab, and Return are a tap away. Ctrl-C works as a terminal interrupt. Copy and Paste use the Mac’s clipboard.

03 / CONNECTIONS

Your Macs, one tap away.

Save the computers you use. Tap a server to connect, and use its pencil button to edit. Optionally keep its password in this device’s Keychain.

04 / YOUR VIEW

Make it feel like yours.

A small precise pointer, or one that’s easier to see. Adjust cursor size, color, and outline. Tune desktop placement while keeping the full image in proportion.

FoldDesk keyboard mode with the draft git status, Send button, keyboard-hide control, and system Dictation microphone

Actual app with synthetic desktop content.

From thought to text

Type it.
Say it.
Send it.

Open the iPhone keyboard to type or use system Dictation. Review your draft, then send it to the field you’ve selected on your Mac. Hide the keyboard to get your trackpad back.

You choose when to send. Drafts stay in memory.

No new account. No relay.

Three steps to your desktop.

01

Enable Screen Sharing.

On your Mac, open System Settings → General → Sharing. Turn on Screen Sharing and allow your Mac account.

02

Add your Mac.

Keep both devices on a trusted local network, or use your own VPN. Save the Mac’s address and account details in FoldDesk.

03

Connect and get to it.

Tap your saved Mac. The desktop appears above your controls. FoldDesk also works on a standard iPhone running iOS 26 or later.

Your network matters. FoldDesk uses VNC and does not encrypt the desktop stream. Use a trusted local network or a VPN you manage. Do not expose Screen Sharing directly to the internet. Read the setup guide →
Before you download

A few useful answers.

What do I need?

An iPhone running iOS 26 or later, your own awake Mac with Screen Sharing enabled or a compatible VNC server, and a reachable trusted network. The fold-aware layout requires supported hardware and iOS 27.1 or later.

Does my desktop pass through a FoldDesk server?

No. The app connects directly to the computer you choose. There is no FoldDesk account, relay service, advertising, or analytics SDK. Read the privacy policy.

Does it include a subscription?

No. The launch plan is a one-time App Store purchase. Final regional pricing will appear on the App Store when the app is available.

What isn’t included?

Audio forwarding, file transfer, phone-to-Mac clipboard synchronization, and Apple’s proprietary High Performance screen-sharing protocol are not included. Copy and Paste send keyboard shortcuts to the Mac.

Is Dictation automatic?

You open the keyboard yourself and can use its Dictation microphone. FoldDesk receives the resulting text, lets you review it, and sends it when you tap Send. It does not detect which kind of field is focused on the Mac.
